If you are looking for an in-depth learning experience alongside world-class trainers, then the Austin hands-on workshop is for you. Upon completion of your program, you will receive a frameable certificate highlighting your studies and accomplishments.
Every day we will be practicing training skills with a wide variety of dogs.
You will learn directly from Diana Smith, certified professional dog trainer and owner of Hearts and Paws, with over 25 years of training experience. Diana and our team are known for teaching modern, science-based training methods that quickly build reliable behaviors from basic to advanced obedience. We will cover a wide range of skills that professional trainers have in their toolbox, from controlling challenging dogs to understanding the essential techniques of our trade: luring, prompting, shaping, capturing, and targeting. Expect to gain practice in creating your own training plans and thinking fast “on your feet” during sessions with the dogs. You will learn how to make good decisions that keep the dogs focused and progressing quickly.
